Happy late Love Day! I hope everyone had a great time with their families and loved ones. I got the inspiration for this card from the Magnolia Ink Magazine. They have the most amazing artwork in it. I am bound and determined to get better with my Copic Markers. I need to get some Magnolia stamps and practice!

The bunny stamp is from Provo Craft. Paper is Making Memories Vintage line and the big orange felt is from the Dollar Store. I got a whole pack of different colors. Love when that happens!

Out For Design Team Work

A little late to be posting for love day...but here it is. I made this book for my husband and I to put little love notes to each other in. He has written me a letter in a small notebook every morning before he leaves for work. After 10 years, that is a lot of notes! I thought it would be neat to have a few in here to pass on to our children. We want to carry on the tradition of Love and what it takes to have a great marriage to them.

Paper is Sassafrass, flowers Prima and one handmade, black glitter letters are Pink Paislee.

A quick card to add to my box. I have been coating my flowers from Prima with Glossy Accents and then pouring on glitter or microbeads. It has a really nice effect and is super fun. I do it over a coffee filter because the microbeads tend to bounce away! Paper is Cosmo Cricket.

I am looking forward to Spring and getting outside for some backyard fixing. This picture of Garrett was taken on our porch last Easter. The journaling reads: Garrett tried Peeps for the first time at Easter and considering the fact that he thinks marshmellows are one of the four food groups, he loved them! He was pleasantly surprised they they "sugared his lips."

You're Getting Muffin For Christmas

I made these gifts for teachers at school, neighbors, and a few friends for Christmas. It is a microfiber dish towel, a package of muffin mix, and a plastic spoon. Everyone seemed to like them and they were cost effective on my end. I wrapped the paper around the bundle with bakers twine and just glue dotted the rest on. Yummy!!

Easel Card

I scraplifted this from a fellow CTMH'er (Shannon Murdock). The leaves are inked and then embossed. If you do not have colored embossing powder, you can ink your image in whatever color you want. Then, stamp it again with Versamark over the top of your image. Then you can emboss with clear embossing powder. Oh the benefits of clear stamps! The set used is Flourished Blessings from CTMH. The card ended up being 6" x 6". A biggie! I loved this folding technique (easel style) and will definitely be using it again.

Okay, April, this one is for you. I promise to do better at posting...Layout is of Garrett putting his backpack up on the first day of school. The paper is Pink Paislee's Amber Road. The white flower is from Prima. They are my new favorite and I wish I could buy them in bulk. With this one I rubbed orange ink on it and stuck on some black rhinestons.

Christmas Card with New Technique

I learned a new technique from CTMH. You stamp your image in Bamboo ink and color it in with watercolor pencils and the blending pen. It is really easy and fun. This is my first attempt, so hopefully I should get better and better. It really makes your stamps even more diverse. The stamp set is a retired one from CTMH called Winter Snapshots.

I made this card for Yancey's grandma for her Birthday. I pulled out my CTMH tickled pink collection I have been holding onto. The shiny stuff under the buttons is not glue gone crazy, it is an embossed flower. I am loving ruffled ribbon on stuff..enjoy and Happy November!

A fun card that was inspired by Jen over at Pink Paislee. I heart her creativity! Color inspiration is from Jeanette of CTMH. My son and I got some chipboard together and just had fun! Most of the chipboard is CTMH, but some is from Fancy Pant(the horns). Black glitter letters are Pink Paislee. I also sprayed the card with Maya Mist (Irridescent Pearl). Stamps are CTMH. He was so fun to make! I hope you find some time to make your own little monster or you can just hug the ones you already have. ;)

We had a yard sale this past weekend and it went really well! One of the things that didn't sell was an old sewing machine base. I decided to pull out the drawers and make some fall arrangements in them. I had a lot of fun and didn't even burn myself with the hot glue gun (I always burn myself at least 3 times a project). I am going to put them for sale in the Awestruck booth. My sister-in-law, Ginny, has some beautiful embroidered items for sale as well. You guys need to go shopping, right?

I guess it was scrapbook Garrett day! These layouts went well into the night, but I am happy with the way they turned out. The first on has Pink Paislee on it (on of my favorite brands). I couldn't think of a title so I went with "I am Love" Which describes he very well...He always has a smile for me and kind words.

The next picture was taken at Disneyland. He loves everything Pirate! The layout has Tim Holtz (stamp), CTMH, and of course Pink Paislee again. I need to work on some girly layouts soon. :) Enjoy and have a wonderful day!

Is it Fall yet? I cannot wait to pull out my fall decorations! My husband laughs at me because every once in a while I pull out some decorations, just to look at them. We have a sign up in the house that says "Witches are good spellers" all year round. It makes me smile everytime I walk past it.

This door hanger is a kit I got from K & Co. I added my own embellies to it as well. The kit was only $2.50. Can you believe it? So cute!

Well, I haven't posted in a while. Life has just gotten in the way. Our computer died, our t.v. died, and I was kind of hoping the dryer would go too...but don't tell anyone! On a sadder note, my son has started High School football practice. Really, where does the time go?
So, I am not able to upload photos yet. We are on a backup computer and it just isn't that great. I promise I will get something up soon though. I have a mini book I have just finished that turned out really cute. I did it with a woodland creatures line. Stay tuned for more!

This picture is of my mother in law who lost her battle with cancer on December 23rd of last year. She was such a special woman in so many ways and is very missed.

Here is the second baby shower card that I made. The baby's room is done in purple so I thought I would stick with that color. Which, by the way, is my favorite color. The saying is from a stamp set from CTMH. The chipboard tree is from Maya Road and is stacked 3 high. Yes, I hand stitched the "Sweet Baby" and the swirl on the inside. Sometimes I don't know what I get myself into! The card took me about 1 1/2 hours to make! Hope you like it and don't be afraid to leave a comment. It helps me grow as a scrapbooker and lets me know that I am not blogging into space! :)

Every kid cuts their hair, or has a brother or sister cut it, at least once in their life. Garrett had his first experience just recently. The journaling reads: Garrett's very first (and hopefully last) DIY haircut. He used my scrapbook scissors for the job (pointed end...Yikes!) and was so very proud of his work. He even cleaned up his own mess. What a Guy!

This is a card that I made for a baby shower. A lot of stitching; not sure what I was thinking. I like doing the side profiles because it shows that the card is not so flat. Christmas 2008 Garrett loves to take pictures. He goes through the house capturing images that I would never think to take and he takes them well. The ornaments on our tree are just one example of his imagination and what he sees through his curious eyes.

Here are the directions for the lollipop holders from Jeanette Lynton's Blog:

1. Each “lollipop caddy” measures 2 ½” x 2 ½” finished.
2. For each caddy cut a cardstock piece 2 ½” x 5 ¼.”
3. Score the middle of each cardstock two times. Measure 2 ½” from each end. This creates gusset at the top of your caddy for the thickness of your lollipop.
4. Then, decorate the two sides of the caddy any way you wish. Remember to add “to” and “from” on the back.
5. Punch two holes, one on either side of the lollipop and string with ribbon.
6. Slide the lollipop inside the caddy, and then secure the caddy closed by tying the ribbon in a bow or knot—and presto! You have an adorable, unique, fast valentine that says, “You’re Sweet” in more ways than one.

I had to do another card with the felt coaster I got from the Dollar Spot. I just love the yumminess it brings to the card. I pushed the pretty pins into the felt and then bent them up to hold the buttons in place. All products used are CTMH.

Well, Valentine's Day is almost upon us. I need to go shopping for the kids and finish up cards. I know some people think this is an over-played holiday, mostly guys I think, but for me it is a day to be grateful to those that I love. We call it Love Day at our house! I never want to miss an opportunity to let my husband and my children know how much I love them and how important they are to me. Have fun with your love day cards!
