Through Your Eyes--First Page

Photobucket

I painted the edges with the CTMH fan brush and white paint. The rub-ons on the picture are also CTMH.

Our youngest son loves to take pictures of everything. He is 5! These are some pictures he took at Christmas Time and I love them. I didn't know my camera would take such good pictures up close. The journaling reads:

Christmas 2008 Garrett loves to take pictures. He goes through the house capturing images that I would never think to take and he takes them well. The ornaments on our tree are just one example of his imagination and what he sees through his curious eyes.

Green Layout- First Day of School

Photobucket

Here is a layout with lots of green in honor of St. Patty's Day coming up. This is my daughter on the first day of school. The title of the layout is done on a popsicle stick.

Bunny Card

Photobucket

I fell in love with this baby stamp set by Stampendous! It is called Peek-A-Boo Baby. The baby has its choice of many hats...cow, pig, frog, puppy, chicky, etc. I have so many ideas in my head for this stamp set. For the cow one, I have a stamp that says moo-chas grass-ias. Ahhh... Scrapbooking makes me giddy sometimes!

Robot Card

Photobucket

I made this card for my husband for Love Day. I had made him a romantic card...lost it though! So I had fun building this guy for him. The super cute star paper is CTMH and the Robot is from Stampendous.

Lollipop Holder

Photobucket

Too Cute and Too Fun!! Products are CTMH and the felt leaves are from Creative Impressions.
Here are the directions for the lollipop holders from Jeanette Lynton's Blog:

1. Each “lollipop caddy” measures 2 ½” x 2 ½” finished.
2. For each caddy cut a cardstock piece 2 ½” x 5 ¼.”
3. Score the middle of each cardstock two times. Measure 2 ½” from each end. This creates gusset at the top of your caddy for the thickness of your lollipop.
4. Then, decorate the two sides of the caddy any way you wish. Remember to add “to” and “from” on the back.
5. Punch two holes, one on either side of the lollipop and string with ribbon.
6. Slide the lollipop inside the caddy, and then secure the caddy closed by tying the ribbon in a bow or knot—and presto! You have an adorable, unique, fast valentine that says, “You’re Sweet” in more ways than one.

Another Felt Coaster Card

Photobucket

I had to do another card with the felt coaster I got from the Dollar Spot. I just love the yumminess it brings to the card. I pushed the pretty pins into the felt and then bent them up to hold the buttons in place. All products used are CTMH.

I loved the stacked buttons with the pins. It adds so much dimension. Problem is none of my cards fit in regular envelopes!

Valentine's Card

Photobucket

Well, Valentine's Day is almost upon us. I need to go shopping for the kids and finish up cards. I know some people think this is an over-played holiday, mostly guys I think, but for me it is a day to be grateful to those that I love. We call it Love Day at our house! I never want to miss an opportunity to let my husband and my children know how much I love them and how important they are to me. Have fun with your love day cards!

Just Be You Card

Photobucket
I have been on a card kick lately, I don't know why. This is another one I did...a just because card for someone. The top tag says Just Be You. It is kind of hard to read. If you haven't noticed I like flowers...on everything! They even pop up on my boy layouts! They just seem to always add that finishing touch. Hope you enjoy the card and remember to not take life so seriously and Laugh!

Birthday Card

Oh my...my daughter is turning 8! I just can't believe where the time has gone. Today was her first day back at regular school and she did fine. Ran right off for recess when I dropped her off. I held back my tears until I got back into the car. It was like the first day of kindergarten all over again. Why do they have to grow up? This card is done with CTMH paper and the Quickutz Mermaid die. It was tedious putting together, but I think it turned out ok. The ribbon is the best invention. You pull the string attached to it and it curls up into the perfect shape...who knew?!

Here is an oldie but a goodie! This is one of my favorite layouts of my daughter. It was taken a few years ago in Nevada. The pink swiped on it is paint. I haven't painted on my layouts in a while and I need to pull it out again. So here is a challenge...pull out your paint and get creative!

This is my Valentine punk card. I made it for my son to give to his girlfriend, but he decided on a more romantic one. The cute owl is a rub-on from Sassafrass Lass and the paper and the Whooo loves you sentiment is CTMH.
